Reasons to watch this flick: One more kiddie flick which actually turned out to be fun. Though nothing special to mention about the movie, the special effects wera a thing to watch for.

My Review: The posters say 'The most wonderous film of its kind since the ET'. I quite agree to that since the film serves audiences of all age groups. The special effects are brilliant and are what I would term as 'perfect'. Movies like these generally make for a good watch but one thing that's really frustrating is the amount of kids in the cinema hall. And trust me, their laughter and screams will literally screw your brains. However, the experience was pretty smooth as compared to Harry Potter, where a kid seated behind us was constantly blabbering "Harry Potterla kay jhaale?". Damn!

Reasons to watch this flick: I remember reading this storyline sometime when I was a small kid and it really interested me. Glad to find out a movie based on the same novel. However, the special effects could have been better.

Reasons to watch this flick: A chick flick set in the world of fashion & contemporary lifestyle. If you know me then you know how much I'm interested in the same. (one major reason why I went for this one) Every character was portrayed perfectly. And when I say that, I mean Meryl Streep & Anne Hathaway both gave excellent performances. We also have some saucy models featured in the movie namely, Gisele Bundchen & Heidi Klum. Go check it out.

My Review: Filmed comletely in Ibiza this is one awesome movie. Music, sex, drugs, beach, clubs, women - this flick has got everything that any club head like me raves about. The perfect sunset, the perfect mansions, massive clubs, the beautiful party people is what defines Ibiza - the ultimate party island. Featuring mockumentary interviews of some of the biggest jocks in the scene, the direction of the movie is astoundingly realistic. Its looks more like a documentary rather than a work of fiction. Awesome stuff Michael Dowse.

We even have an odd but humourous personality here who goes by the name of Luke Wilson. Total hilarious stuff with some science fiction crap too, definitely worth a watch.

My Review: Great movie with a deep meaning. Starts off as any typical Adam Sandler comedy flick. Halfway through and you realize there's more to this flick than some laughs. The movie tells you that work always comes after family. We never realize it and so doesn't Adam Sandler; but then circumstances do lead him and convince him about the same. Some eye watering moments at the end & a happy ending to one of 2006's quality flicks!

As Cleveland falls deeper and deeper in love with the woman, he works together with the tenants to protect his new fragile friend from the deadly creatures that reside in this fable and are determined to prevent her from returning home.

My Review: Right from the time I saw the first mammoth hoarding of this one on my way to work, I knew it from the start - this movie was gonna be different, it had something in it which was alluring. Maybe owing to the poster. But when I got to read the synopsis, I knew I was in the right direction. And later when actually reading a bad review of the movie, I was sure about it. Directed by M. Night Shyamalan who's also got a role in the movie, this flick actually had a dark and slow feel to it. The direction was really different although not out of the world, but yes, it did work wonderfully on the big screen. Original story with a few spine-chilling moments & flawless special effects coupled with spectacular acting from the cast, this is one movie which is going to be remembered for a long time to come!

My Review: I had to watch this one owing to the publicity online AND offline which was very well done. The ads, the hype, the MSN game, the email forwards and much much more majorly responsible. The movie was actually quite good, a typical Disney box office flick, which sports amazing special effects, cinematography & makeup. Add to that Johnny Depp's fabulous role as Captain Jack Sparrow & Keira Knightley's hot appearance on screen. This is one of those movies which you'll enjoy watching but won't be remembering in the next few weeks!

After a stop in Smallville to see his adopted mother, Superman is back in Metropolis, and Clark Kent has his old job back at the Daily Planet, with everyone still incredibly oblivious to his alter ego. But where there's Superman, there's Lex Luthor, and he is likely to be planning something dastardly - in this case, using a piece of pilfered kryptonite to grow an entirely new continent that he will control.
Reasons to watch this flick: This movie boasts of state-of-the-art special effects coupled with a storyline that will raise the legendary superhero back to it's cult status which it originally deserves. And yes, it definitely goes without asking... but I'm still skeptical of the cult status, because the Indian audience didnt't find the movie WOW! I wonder why? Anyway forget about the others, its MY review here and I still say that the movie is kick-ass. Right from the spectacular special effects to the action sequences, this movie will captivate you emotionally as well. This is Brandon Routh's debut movie and his portrayal as Superman is fantastic. Adding to this the veteran roles of Kevin Spacey and the beautiful Kate Bosworth.

My Review: To make through to the premier screening of this movie was a Mission: Impossible. But somehow we managed to make it and the movie was quite worth it. The adrenaline-filled action sequences filled in most parts of the movie in the absence of which the movie would have gone down the drain. Not very interesting, but yes you can go check this one out if you got nothing better to do!

My Review: I'll make this review short & simple because there ain't much in the movie to discuss about except for the 3 spine-chilling impacts. Yes, that's all of it. Rest, the movie was very slow & kind of boring. A remake of the horror classic Omen - well I never really found any of the earlier Omens interesting or scary enough. Same applies here. Won't matter if you miss it. A point to mention but, the movie was released on the 6th of June, 2006 at 6:06 pm worldwide. Woah, talk about the number of the Devil - 666!

My Review: I had read this novel halfway through exactly upto the interval and the storyline was really very exciting. No doubt the book was a contemporary best seller of all time. The movie has been recreated exactly in accordance to the novel although not that much in detail as the pages - but yes, exactly the same way. The story keeps on building up & up and the mystery keeps on unfolding as the movie nears its end. The anticipation keeps on building up and the final 15 minutes are indeed worth the patience. The best scene of the movie is the last one when Robert Langdon realises that Mary Magdalene's tomb has been hidden beneath the very place his adventure started off. Magnificent screenplay. This movie if gone for the Oscars, would surely come out as a winner!

The past just got very twisted, and the future may reveal an entirely new breed, the likes of which no one has ever seen. Hunted vampire Selene (Kate Beckinsale) seeks out Marcus (Tony Curran), king of the Vampires, in the hope of bargaining for her life. Hybrid Michael (Scott Speedman) wants to join Selene in her quest but is unable to trust the werewolf raging uncontrolled inside him, and she refuses his companionship. Their love proves more powerful than genetics, however, when Marcus descends upon Selene, intent on annihilating her. In the battle that ensues, Selene discovers that she has been betrayed by her own family she sets out to seek her revenge. Selene seeks out Amaud Tanis (Steven MacKintosh), official Historian of the Covens, for help unraveling the web of lies spun by Marcus and Viktor (Bill Nighy) in their battle for supremacy. Intrigue deepens when Tanis reveals the identity of the first true Immortal: neither Marcus nor Viktor, as was believed, but Alexander Corvinus (Derek Jacobi), father to Marcus and this twin brother, William (Brian Steele). Corvinus, like an omnipresent god on the fringes, has been tracking everyone's movements and cleaning up after their wars, intent on keeping his descendents confined to the shadows of human society. Side by side, Selene and Michael battle the horrifically strong and determined Marcus, who is determined to release his imprisoned brother William from captivity and use his bloodlust to achieve world domination. Each confrontation unearths new revelations, casting a harsh light upon previous events and cutting through the darkness of painful memories buried deep within.

My Review: The prequel was good enough to lure me to watch this flick. Based in the Gothic world where the creatures come out at night, Underworld suits the frame. This part traces the actual beginning of the war between the Vampires & the Werewolves which was somehow missing in the previous part. The movie follows the battles of Selena & Michael as they fight their way to freedom & truth. A perfect ending to the saga!

What begins as a solo mission soon draws others, as Dylan is followed by a desperate father searching for his daughter and her fiancee - a young couple who hours before couldn't summon the courage to tell him they were engaged and now face much graver challenges. Along the way they are joined by a single mother and her wise-beyond-his-years son, an anxious stowaway and a despondent fellow passenger who boarded the ship not sure he wanted to live but now knows he doesn't want to die. Determined to fight their way to the surface, the group sets off through the disorienting maze of twisted steel in the upside-down wreckage. As the unstable vessel rapidly fills with water each must draw on skills and strengths they didn't even know they possessed, fighting against time for their own survival and for each other.

My Review: The movie begins with much serenity as the whole luxury cruiser is portrayed from end to end. Equipped with almost everything, this massive ship is every sailor's dream come true. Everything's going all so well when a huge wave of mammoth proportions hits the ship with such immense force that it topples upside down like a paper boat. And the story doesn't drag for even a second. The accident scenes are very well done and so is the gore. Add to that the spectacular special effects and this 100 minute flick is a fully worthy watch!

My Review: In the near future a deadly virus kills 99% of mankind. In desperate attempts to preserve humanity Prof. Goodchild (Marton Csokas) discovers a cure to the virus and succeeds in saving the remaining humans. But the drawback of this vaccine is that it renders people infertile, incapable of bearing children. So the Prof. has no option but to collect & maintain the DNAs of those hundreds & thousands and using them to clone these people again & again in hopes of preserving the human race. This is continued for 400 years until when a rebellion group called the Monikers have planned to assassinate the Prof. because they think that he iss behind the numerous disappearances & murders. Aeon Flux is one of these Monikers & her mission is to kill the Prof. She's almost about to do that when she discovers that truth that the Prof. is indeed trying to help humans survive. And in time some of them have succeeded in becoming immune to the infertility problem because of which they have been killed by the others involved with the Prof. in his experiment. So rises a rebel and finally the climax where everyone discovers the real world! Amazing storyline... though the action was a little less exxagerated!

Physically drawn to Tramell and mentally intrigued by her, Glass, against the advice of his mentor, Dr. Milena Gardosh (Charlotte Rampling), is quickly sucked into her web of lies and seduction. The professional boundaries between Glass and Tramell are obliterated when she uncovers his basic instincts. A deadly battle of wits ensues, climaxing as Glass faces a choice that will change both their lives forever.

My Review: Haven't seen the prequel but having heard great reviews about it is what compelled me to checkout this flick. The movie was kind of slow but things started heating up as the movie progressed & I started becoming more & more engrossed in this psychological thriller. Sharon Stone although now in her late 40's has still managed to portray her seductive side with full ease. She could easily beat up any woman in the industry half her age just by her looks. Anyway. the movie is all about how she manipulates the mind of this psychiatrist with lies & seduction and finally succeeds in what she had planned for! Great movie in my opinion, but I'm still wondering why was it a big flop?? Maybe I should find a chance to watch the prequel & maybe then I'd realise what this movie is really worth? Until then a 4 stars from me!
