What's the story? It's the end of yet another night at Hastings Supermarket, an idyllic family grocery store in Buck Lake, Arizona. But the normal closing-time monotony is broken when a group of masked and armed-to-the-teeth militants invade the store, immediately killing several of the employees and shoppers and holding the rest hostage. Though the hostage-takers at first appear to be robbers or terrorists, they reveal themselves to be a cadre of rogue scientists that have discovered and tracked an alien infestation to THIS STORE on THIS NIGHT, and they are determined to find out which survivors are extra terrestrials and end the invasion at any cost.

Reasons to watch this flick: A minimal sci-fi flick which keeps on getting interesting as the suspense builds up to a rather mediocre climax.

What's the story? An elite military unit (SG-1) must flee back to Earth when two members of their team inexplicably disappear into thin air. But they return to a world in which the Stargate - an Ancient device which allow them to travel to hundreds of planets - was never discovered, and their own history has been erased. Now they must convince a dubious government and military that the timeline was altered by a powerful Alien enemy (Ba'al) in order to conquer Earth, and time is not on their side...

Reasons to watch this flick: This one was way better than the previous 'Ark Of Truth'. Time travel was the key ingredient here around which the entire plot revolved. I have to admit that I generally develop an instant liking for time travel movies.

Reasons to watch this flick: The original Stargate movie was by far the best one in the series. This one clearly fails when compared but otherwise is a one-time see.
