Had seen this one in theatres back in December when it released. The direction, the special effects, the cinematography, the sounds, everything was so perfect. Can easily be termed as one of the biggest sci-fi movies of all time. No doubt it was one of the highest grossing movies of 2007. If you miss this, then you indeed miss a Legend!

My Review: The posters say 'The most wonderous film of its kind since the ET'. I quite agree to that since the film serves audiences of all age groups. The special effects are brilliant and are what I would term as 'perfect'. Movies like these generally make for a good watch but one thing that's really frustrating is the amount of kids in the cinema hall. And trust me, their laughter and screams will literally screw your brains. However, the experience was pretty smooth as compared to Harry Potter, where a kid seated behind us was constantly blabbering "Harry Potterla kay jhaale?". Damn!

Reasons to watch this flick: A chick flick set in the world of fashion & contemporary lifestyle. If you know me then you know how much I'm interested in the same. (one major reason why I went for this one) Every character was portrayed perfectly. And when I say that, I mean Meryl Streep & Anne Hathaway both gave excellent performances. We also have some saucy models featured in the movie namely, Gisele Bundchen & Heidi Klum. Go check it out.

My Review: Filmed comletely in Ibiza this is one awesome movie. Music, sex, drugs, beach, clubs, women - this flick has got everything that any club head like me raves about. The perfect sunset, the perfect mansions, massive clubs, the beautiful party people is what defines Ibiza - the ultimate party island. Featuring mockumentary interviews of some of the biggest jocks in the scene, the direction of the movie is astoundingly realistic. Its looks more like a documentary rather than a work of fiction. Awesome stuff Michael Dowse.

My Review: The highlight of the movie - Uma Thurman & Anna Faris. Two beauties who make the movie just as interesting as their looks. We even have an odd but humourous personality here who goes by the name of Luke Wilson. Total hilarious stuff with some science fiction crap too, definitely worth a watch.

And now, she's been given a great opportunity to advance her career: she is to plan a masquerade ball in downtown Manhattan for record mogul Damon Phillips (Faizon Love) and his company. Jake (Chris Pine), on the other hand, is a bad luck magnet. His skies are always raining; his pants are always on the verge of splitting at the seams. His job is cleaning toilets at a bowling alley. But even a steady bombardment of catastrophes doesn't dim Jake's dreams. He thinks he may have his chance at the brass ring with his discovery of a rock band McFly. If Jake can keep his bad luck at bay for just one night, he'll sneak into a masquerade ball and get McFly's CD into the hands of music titan Damon Phillips. On this night when dreams can be made or broken, fate brings Ashley and Jake together on the dance floor. Instantly taken with one another, they share an electrifyingly kiss - and with that one kiss, they switch places. Suddenly, Ashley's dress rips. Her heel breaks. Her good luck seems to have finally run out. Jake, in his rush to catch Phillips before he leaves, ends up saving the record mogul's life and earning with that one simple twist of fate, the chance to make all his dreams come true. As Ashley desperately races to regain the luck she blithely took for granted, she begins to see that it's not so much having good luck but what you do with it that counts, and that her greatest chance of redemption lies with the guy who holds the key to her sudden change of fate.

My Review: Great movie with a deep meaning. Starts off as any typical Adam Sandler comedy flick. Halfway through and you realize there's more to this flick than some laughs. The movie tells you that work always comes after family. We never realize it and so doesn't Adam Sandler; but then circumstances do lead him and convince him about the same. Some eye watering moments at the end & a happy ending to one of 2006's quality flicks!

Synopsis: Cleveland Heep (Paul Giamatti), a modest building manager, rescues a mysterious young woman from danger and discovers she is actually a narf - a character from a bedtime story who is trying to make the treacherous journey from our world back to hers. Cleveland and his fellow tenants start to realize that they are also characters in this bedtime story. As Cleveland falls deeper and deeper in love with the woman, he works together with the tenants to protect his new fragile friend from the deadly creatures that reside in this fable and are determined to prevent her from returning home.

My Review: Right from the time I saw the first mammoth hoarding of this one on my way to work, I knew it from the start - this movie was gonna be different, it had something in it which was alluring. Maybe owing to the poster. But when I got to read the synopsis, I knew I was in the right direction. And later when actually reading a bad review of the movie, I was sure about it. Directed by M. Night Shyamalan who's also got a role in the movie, this flick actually had a dark and slow feel to it. The direction was really different although not out of the world, but yes, it did work wonderfully on the big screen. Original story with a few spine-chilling moments & flawless special effects coupled with spectacular acting from the cast, this is one movie which is going to be remembered for a long time to come!
