What's the story? In the dizzying world of New York fashion, where size zero is the new 2, six is the new 8, and a bad hair day can end a career, Runaway Magazine is the Holy Grail. Overseen with a finely manicured fist by Miranda Priestly--the most powerful woman in fashion--Runway is a fearsome gauntlet for anyone who wants to make it in the industry. To make Runway the fashion bible of New York and therefore the world, Miranda has let nothing stand in her way--including a long line of assistants that didn't make the cut. It's a job no self-respecting person can survive, yet it's an opportunity a million young women in New York would kill for. A stint as Miranda's assistant could blast-open the doors for recent college graduate Andy Sachs. More college drab than haute couture, she stands alone among the small army of "Clackers" on staff at Runway--superslim fashion divas clacking their stilettos down the halls of the magazine's Manhattan headquarters. But when Andy comes in for the job, it dawns on her that making it in this industry will take more than drive and determination. And her ultimate test stands before her in head-to-toe Prada. Miranda can spin the fashion world like a basketball but has a devil of a time finding and keeping a good assistant. Andy is completely wrong for the job. But she has something the rest of them don't: she refuses to fail. To become the perfect assistant, Andy will need to make herself over in Miranda's image. Soon, much to her boyfriend's dismay, she can talk the talk, walk the walk and never again confuse Dolce with Gabbana. But the more of life she sees through Miranda's eyes, the more she begins to grasp that Miranda's world is a fabulous but lonely one--and that sometimes great success depends on great sacrifice. But at what cost?
Reasons to watch this flick: A chick flick set in the world of fashion & contemporary lifestyle. If you know me then you know how much I'm interested in the same. (one major reason why I went for this one) Every character was portrayed perfectly. And when I say that, I mean Meryl Streep & Anne Hathaway both gave excellent performances. We also have some saucy models featured in the movie namely, Gisele Bundchen & Heidi Klum. Go check it out.
So how much do I rate it? 4/5

The good times gone, Frankie isolated himself in his villa for a year under a pile of self-pity and a mountain of drugs. Determined to pull himself together, Frankie hired a lip-reading instructor, accepting a new way of life and rediscovering the dance rhythms that had defined him. His ultimate redemption returned him to the top of the scene with a renewed connection to the almighty beat. And then - he disappeared.

My Review: Filmed comletely in Ibiza this is one awesome movie. Music, sex, drugs, beach, clubs, women - this flick has got everything that any club head like me raves about. The perfect sunset, the perfect mansions, massive clubs, the beautiful party people is what defines Ibiza - the ultimate party island. Featuring mockumentary interviews of some of the biggest jocks in the scene, the direction of the movie is astoundingly realistic. Its looks more like a documentary rather than a work of fiction. Awesome stuff Michael Dowse.

When he breaks up with his girlfriend, he discovers his ex is actually the reluctant superhero, G-Girl. A scorned woman, she unleashes her super powers to humiliate and torment him.

My Review: The highlight of the movie - Uma Thurman & Anna Faris. Two beauties who make the movie just as interesting as their looks. We even have an odd but humourous personality here who goes by the name of Luke Wilson. Total hilarious stuff with some science fiction crap too, definitely worth a watch.

Synopsis: Ashley Albright (Lindsay Lohan) is the luckiest woman in the world, a person to whom all the good things in life have come far too easily. She can pick a lottery ticket at random and hit the jackpot. In New York, the world's busiest city, Ashley never has to wait for a cab. And she has a terrific job as an account exec at a prestigious public relations firm. Everything goes Ashley's way. And now, she's been given a great opportunity to advance her career: she is to plan a masquerade ball in downtown Manhattan for record mogul Damon Phillips (Faizon Love) and his company. Jake (Chris Pine), on the other hand, is a bad luck magnet. His skies are always raining; his pants are always on the verge of splitting at the seams. His job is cleaning toilets at a bowling alley. But even a steady bombardment of catastrophes doesn't dim Jake's dreams. He thinks he may have his chance at the brass ring with his discovery of a rock band McFly. If Jake can keep his bad luck at bay for just one night, he'll sneak into a masquerade ball and get McFly's CD into the hands of music titan Damon Phillips. On this night when dreams can be made or broken, fate brings Ashley and Jake together on the dance floor. Instantly taken with one another, they share an electrifyingly kiss - and with that one kiss, they switch places. Suddenly, Ashley's dress rips. Her heel breaks. Her good luck seems to have finally run out. Jake, in his rush to catch Phillips before he leaves, ends up saving the record mogul's life and earning with that one simple twist of fate, the chance to make all his dreams come true. As Ashley desperately races to regain the luck she blithely took for granted, she begins to see that it's not so much having good luck but what you do with it that counts, and that her greatest chance of redemption lies with the guy who holds the key to her sudden change of fate.
