My Review: In the lines of Scary Movie, this movie was made to humiliate some of the other major box office flicks. Laughs & laughs is all this movie's got. Advisory for fat ladies: Don't even think of watching this flick. It'll make you stab yourself... LOL!

But he is called back into action to confront the toughest villain he's ever faced - Owen Davian (Philip Seymour Hoffman), an international weapons and information provider with no remorse and no conscience. Hunt assembles his team - his old friend Luther Strickell (Ving Rhames), transportation expert Declan (Jonathan Rhys Meyers), background operative Zhen (Maggie Q), and fresh recruit Lindsey (Keri Russell) - to travel the globe pursuing Davian and rescue Hunt's love, Julia (Michelle Monaghan).

My Review: To make through to the premier screening of this movie was a Mission: Impossible. But somehow we managed to make it and the movie was quite worth it. The adrenaline-filled action sequences filled in most parts of the movie in the absence of which the movie would have gone down the drain. Not very interesting, but yes you can go check this one out if you got nothing better to do!

Synopsis: Robert Thorn (Liev Schreiber) is a senior American diplomat whose wife, Katherine (Julia Stiles), endures a difficult delivery where their newborn child has died. Thorn knows the news will devastate Katherine, who had suffered two previous miscarriages. The hospital priest presents Thorn with another child born that night, whose mother died in childbirth. The priest compels Thorn to take the infant boy as his own; Katherine will never know the truth, and their son, which they name Damien (Seamus Davey-Fitzpatrick), will be raised as their flesh and blood. As the child turns five, unsettling events begin to occur: Damien's nanny hangs herself at the youngster's birthday party; a strange priest brings dire warnings to Thorn; a children's trip to the zoo results in a panicked frenzy; Damien becomes hysterical during a drive to church; and blurred movements in a series of photographs portend shocking deaths. Enter Mrs. Baylock (Mia Farrow), Damien's new nanny, who seems to have a preordained devotion to the child. Then tragedy strikes closer to home. But only later does Thorn comprehend the truth: Damien is no ordinary child; he is the long-prophesized Anti-Christ. Now, Thorn must make the ultimate sacrifice to prevent the unspeakable terror that awaits the world.

My Review: I'll make this review short & simple because there ain't much in the movie to discuss about except for the 3 spine-chilling impacts. Yes, that's all of it. Rest, the movie was very slow & kind of boring. A remake of the horror classic Omen - well I never really found any of the earlier Omens interesting or scary enough. Same applies here. Won't matter if you miss it. A point to mention but, the movie was released on the 6th of June, 2006 at 6:06 pm worldwide. Woah, talk about the number of the Devil - 666!

With his own survival at stake, Langdon, aided by the police cryptologist Sophie Neveu (Audrey Tautao), unveils a series of stunning secrets hidden in the works of Leonardo Da Vinci, all leading to a covert society dedicated to guarding an ancient secret that has remained hidden for 2000 years. The pair set off on a thrilling quest through Paris, London and Scotland, collecting clues as they desperately attempt to crack the code and reveal secrets that will shake the very foundations of mankind.

My Review: I had read this novel halfway through exactly upto the interval and the storyline was really very exciting. No doubt the book was a contemporary best seller of all time. The movie has been recreated exactly in accordance to the novel although not that much in detail as the pages - but yes, exactly the same way. The story keeps on building up & up and the mystery keeps on unfolding as the movie nears its end. The anticipation keeps on building up and the final 15 minutes are indeed worth the patience. The best scene of the movie is the last one when Robert Langdon realises that Mary Magdalene's tomb has been hidden beneath the very place his adventure started off. Magnificent screenplay. This movie if gone for the Oscars, would surely come out as a winner!
