Synopsis: With the exposure of well-kept secrets and the tough resolve of one betrayed Vampire warrior, a centuries-long struggle between vicious predators has reached new heights of fierceness. But it's one Immortal's insatiable lust for power that leads to disturbing new disclosures about the origins of the feud between the Vampires and the Lycans. The past just got very twisted, and the future may reveal an entirely new breed, the likes of which no one has ever seen. Hunted vampire Selene (Kate Beckinsale) seeks out Marcus (Tony Curran), king of the Vampires, in the hope of bargaining for her life. Hybrid Michael (Scott Speedman) wants to join Selene in her quest but is unable to trust the werewolf raging uncontrolled inside him, and she refuses his companionship. Their love proves more powerful than genetics, however, when Marcus descends upon Selene, intent on annihilating her. In the battle that ensues, Selene discovers that she has been betrayed by her own family she sets out to seek her revenge. Selene seeks out Amaud Tanis (Steven MacKintosh), official Historian of the Covens, for help unraveling the web of lies spun by Marcus and Viktor (Bill Nighy) in their battle for supremacy. Intrigue deepens when Tanis reveals the identity of the first true Immortal: neither Marcus nor Viktor, as was believed, but Alexander Corvinus (Derek Jacobi), father to Marcus and this twin brother, William (Brian Steele). Corvinus, like an omnipresent god on the fringes, has been tracking everyone's movements and cleaning up after their wars, intent on keeping his descendents confined to the shadows of human society. Side by side, Selene and Michael battle the horrifically strong and determined Marcus, who is determined to release his imprisoned brother William from captivity and use his bloodlust to achieve world domination. Each confrontation unearths new revelations, casting a harsh light upon previous events and cutting through the darkness of painful memories buried deep within.

My Review: The prequel was good enough to lure me to watch this flick. Based in the Gothic world where the creatures come out at night, Underworld suits the frame. This part traces the actual beginning of the war between the Vampires & the Werewolves which was somehow missing in the previous part. The movie follows the battles of Selena & Michael as they fight their way to freedom & truth. A perfect ending to the saga!

Synopsis: When a rogue wave capsizes a luxury cruise ship in the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean, a small group of survivors find themselves unlikely allies in a battle for their lives. Preferring to test the odds alone, career gambler Dylan Johns (Josh Lucas) ignores captain's orders to wait below for possible rescue and sets out to find his own way to safety. What begins as a solo mission soon draws others, as Dylan is followed by a desperate father searching for his daughter and her fiancee - a young couple who hours before couldn't summon the courage to tell him they were engaged and now face much graver challenges. Along the way they are joined by a single mother and her wise-beyond-his-years son, an anxious stowaway and a despondent fellow passenger who boarded the ship not sure he wanted to live but now knows he doesn't want to die. Determined to fight their way to the surface, the group sets off through the disorienting maze of twisted steel in the upside-down wreckage. As the unstable vessel rapidly fills with water each must draw on skills and strengths they didn't even know they possessed, fighting against time for their own survival and for each other.

My Review: The movie begins with much serenity as the whole luxury cruiser is portrayed from end to end. Equipped with almost everything, this massive ship is every sailor's dream come true. Everything's going all so well when a huge wave of mammoth proportions hits the ship with such immense force that it topples upside down like a paper boat. And the story doesn't drag for even a second. The accident scenes are very well done and so is the gore. Add to that the spectacular special effects and this 100 minute flick is a fully worthy watch!

Synopsis: In the 25th century, a rampaging virus has forced the remnants of humanity into the seclusion of a final city. There is great political conflict within, however, and this is the story of an acrobatic assassin, Aeon Flux (Charlize Theron), whose latest target is the government's top leader.

My Review: In the near future a deadly virus kills 99% of mankind. In desperate attempts to preserve humanity Prof. Goodchild (Marton Csokas) discovers a cure to the virus and succeeds in saving the remaining humans. But the drawback of this vaccine is that it renders people infertile, incapable of bearing children. So the Prof. has no option but to collect & maintain the DNAs of those hundreds & thousands and using them to clone these people again & again in hopes of preserving the human race. This is continued for 400 years until when a rebellion group called the Monikers have planned to assassinate the Prof. because they think that he iss behind the numerous disappearances & murders. Aeon Flux is one of these Monikers & her mission is to kill the Prof. She's almost about to do that when she discovers that truth that the Prof. is indeed trying to help humans survive. And in time some of them have succeeded in becoming immune to the infertility problem because of which they have been killed by the others involved with the Prof. in his experiment. So rises a rebel and finally the climax where everyone discovers the real world! Amazing storyline... though the action was a little less exxagerated!
